La Casa del Jaguar was founded by Master Dan Reynolds, who felt a spiritual calling while working at the Monroe Institute, where he was using the Hemi-Sync technology in one of its special chambers.
Guided by this calling, Dan traveled to Peru, visiting the coast, mountains, and jungle to learn about the master plants ayahuasca and huachuma.
During his own healing process, first as a patient and later as a student of shamanism, Dan noticed that many practices in traditional shamanic centers caused unnecessary discomfort and risked the physical health of participants.
He observed that many believed the best way to connect with the plants was deep in the jungle, despite the danger of mosquitoes carrying diseases like dengue and malaria.
While native communities have adapted to live in this environment, Dan realized that people from urban areas are often vulnerable in such settings.
At first, Dan accepted that these challenges were part of the healing process, but as he advanced in his training, the spirit of Mother Ayahuasca spoke to him with a surprising message: “It doesn’t have to be this way.”
This revelation confused Dan because his teacher had been instructing him otherwise.
But the medicine clarified: “The methods can be different, but in the end, everything leads to the same truth.
Remember, all roads lead to Rome.” Mother Ayahuasca also gave Dan a mission: to bring shamanic healing ceremonies out of the shadows, away from superstition and ignorance.
Inspired by this, in 2008, Dan founded La Casa del Jaguar in the heart of Iquitos, creating a healing center based on the teachings of Mother Ayahuasca.
The legacy continues
Today, La Casa del Jaguar is directed by Master Denis Montes, who continues the legacy of Master Dan Reynolds, providing a space where people can heal with ayahuasca and huachuma, in a safe and welcoming environment.
